- Walk faster.
- Go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
- Take naps.

- Breathe more deeply.
- Stop complaining.
- Clean/Organize your house (dunno about you, but once I get going, I’m motivated)

28 Day Fitness Challenge
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: fatties don’t climb mountains; they roll down them! That poses a significant problem for this fat boy. I won’t be climbing any beastly awesome mountains on my epic road trip if I don’t do something about my weight and do it right now. If you couldn’t tell from my photos, I love the outdoors. However, the last time I went backpacking I didn’t see any fat guys.
Ok, I did see some fat guys, but they where all huffing and puffing at the trail head. Trust me, there are no fat guys in the back country or half way up Mt. Moran in Wyoming!
How I got here
2009 was a great year for me. I got completely debt free and traveled the better half of the country with some great friends. I learned to get outside my comfort zone and experience new things. That year I also got engaged and married to my wife, JorDanee. It was the year I launched my business, MK3Y. Lastly it was the year in which my healthy lifestyle took a dramatic turn for the worse. How a Man Should Propose
Today’s post is a guest post from my good friend, Joe Baker.
I am writing to the single woman out there.
Men please hear my thoughts and pay close attention.
I was searching youtube tonight looking at marriage proposals online. I can’t believe how many horrible proposals that I had to sit through to get to a seldom few good ones. After seeing so many worthless proposals I have come to the conclusion that our fatherless jackass generation has bread a slew of uncreative, pathetic, gimps who think marriage is all about themselves. And the worst part of it is that all the girls said yes. What the heck is going on? Ladies you deserve more! Way more!
Ladies, getting married is the largest decision of your life! You will have to look at that guy for 80 years, so make sure you say yes to a guy that loves your heart and who has a larger vision for your lives than watching football this Sunday. Continue Reading…
Summer Road Trip – CANCELED
UPDATE: My wife got offered a job in Saint Petersburg, FL so we ended up moving instead of traveling this summer. However, 2012 looks promising!
As a Christian, I don’t feel like I spend enough time with God’s creation, or enough time just appreciating it. When was the last time you looked up at the stars? For that matter, are you able to even see the stars where you live?
The writer of Psalm 19 exclaims, “The heavens declare the glory of God.” And in Psalm 97:6, “The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory.” When we stand outside on a dark and starry night and look up into the heavens, we are able to say, “How glorious is God—how magnificent is He!”
I feel Christians, especially Christian men, need to take time to get back to the wilderness. A quick look in Genesis will reveal that Adam was first created in the Wilderness then placed in the Garden to tend to it. The Wilderness is a part of every man. I have felt most at peace and close to God when I took time to enjoy and be in the creation.
That’s why my wife and I have decided to add more of it to our lives. We’re planning to take an epic cross-country tour of the West and hit up some of the major national parks. I’m also hoping that this time will be used to strengthen our marriage, our abilities to work together and communicate, and our connection with God and each other.
So now that you’ve got a little background on the reason for the trip, here are the details. Continue Reading…
